A Caribou Airstream Caravan organized by Wally Byam resulted in nearly 400 trailers coming to Birch Bay during July 1967. Byam built the worlds first Airstream travel trailer in 1929, before founding the company Airstream i n1931, according to Airstream’s website.

This building is still there and known as CJ restuarant.
This is a photo of the Granary that was part of the Gischer Homestead. Built in 1887. This photo was captured at it’s current location in the Pioneer Park in Ferndale.
The Birch Bay Elementary School was constructed with a donation from Charles Vogt in 1888 at the corner of Birch Bay Lynden Road and Harborview. In 1929, PTA volunteers constructed the Birch bay Grange Hall for a gymnasium, theater and social hall next to the school.
The Birch Bay Marina located at the south end of the Birch Bay State Park.
